The area where MATOF has been held is Korea's largest machinery manufacturing and heavy industrial complexes, which is home to 95 industrial complexes and about 3,600 companies.
Companies in Changwon city produce 70 percent of the machine tools in the nation.
Changwon city is the base of many world class machine tools makers and large corporations representing Korea's machinery industry, such as Doosan Infracore, S&T Dynamics, Hankook Machine Tools, Hanwha TechM, Hyundai WIA and etc.
Since the city is being as a bigpart of manufacturing the machine tools and parts in Korea. MATOF holds both the biggestproducers and consumers.
